Angely Accepted into the ESA BIC Greece Incubation Programme

Angely is proud to announce its acceptance into ESA BIC Greece, the European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre in Greece.

Joining the incubation programme marks an important milestone in Angely’s mission to apply space-derived technologies to the protection of public spaces. Through ESA BIC Greece, the company will gain access to specialised technical and business expertise, training, infrastructure and an extensive network of partners supporting the development and commercialisation of space-related technologies.

Angely is developing a solution capable of detecting concealed weapons from a distance, allowing people to move freely without passing through conventional security checkpoints or forming queues. The system combines magnetic technologies originally developed for spacecraft magnetic-cleanliness testing with advanced neural-network-based image processing.

The demanding standards associated with space systems have enabled Angely to build advanced capabilities for measuring and modelling magnetic fields. These capabilities can support the detection of small objects made from ferromagnetic materials, including weapons.

During the incubation programme, Angely will focus on developing and validating its minimum viable product under real-world operating conditions. This process will help the company confirm market demand, prepare for its first funding round and progress towards pilot installations in high-traffic locations and sites of cultural significance in Greece.
